We raise a cupcake to the teachers of Daniel Bagley Elementary in Green Lake!

Seattle has many schools of all types full of teachers and professionals who are dedicated to the learning and well-being of their students. We reached out to the community to learn about some of these teachers and schools and we have been amazed at the response. Parents, students, administrators, and others wrote in with heartfelt stories about the care, sacrifice, and long hours given by teachers and the difference it makes for so many individual lives. Cupcake Royale wants to help show appreciation for the heroic work our Seattle teachers are doing, so for each day of Teacher Appreciation Week, we are surprising the faculty of a deserving Seattle school with a delivery of free cupcakes! A Random Act of Cupcakes!

And today we surprised Daniel Bagley Elementary in Green Lake! Here is what two people said about Daniel Bagley Elementary:

Hello there!

First of all, thank you for this contest and acknowledging our hardworking educators in Seattle! I would like to nominate the staff of Daniel Bagley Elementary! They are all very dedicated and a very committed staff not only to our kiddos, but also within our community and with each other. Although this is only my second year teaching at Daniel Bagley, I shared with our principal, Ms. Erika Ayer, that teaching here feels so familiar! Everybody looks out for one another and I can see that we genuinely love coming to work and love doing what we do!

One thing that definitely stands out is our team of special education teachers, assistants and specialists (OT, PT, SLP, psychologist, music, art and P.E. teachers and librarian). They always go above and beyond for our students and staff!

It really does take a village!

What a generous offer!  I’d love to shower the teachers and staff at Daniel Bagley Elementary with cupcakes.  They are an incredibly dedicated and hard working bunch who make our school community a wonderful place to learn.  They go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure children are successful.  A few examples: the Health and Fitness teacher gave his free time on the weekend to attend our Bike Rodeo to inspire kids to get on their bikes.  One of the 4/5 teachers inspires her children to make quilts for the kids at Children’s Hospital.  The school has a wonderful atmosphere, and it has everything to do with the teachers and staff who work tirelessly together to help students achieve.

Thanks for considering them!
